| A common problem is that user accounts do not become active until the user
is approved as a valid member of an iGEM team or other Registry group. iGEM teams, in turn
must be approved by the staff at iGEM Headquarters before they and their members have active accounts.
You can check the status of your team's registration on the team's information page.
You can check the status of your user account on your user information page.
Until your account is activated, you can update your information and join your team, but you will not be
able to edit the iGEM sites or use the Registry tools.
